[SPONSORED] REVIEW: Geo Mimi Cafe Latte Brown Circle Lenses from Pinky Paradise (old review from 11/15/2014)

10/22/2015 Edit: This review was made on November 15th, 2014 and some of the links could be outdated. I am currently in the process of transferring my reviews from tumblr to this blog as backup. From now on, I will be posting reviews both on tumblr and here. If you'd like early access on reviews though, more than likely they will be on my tumblr.

Hello! I will be doing my second review over Pinky Paradise but this is the first time I’ve been sponsored by them! The circle lenses I have chosen to review are the Geo Mimi Cafe Latte Brown (on dark brown eyes).
~Review below the cut~
Back in September, Pinky Paradise had a Halloween sponsorship promotion offer that bloggers could “apply” for and if they were qualified enough, they were emailed back and given a half off discount code to spread to followers for a limited amount of time and an opportunity to review a pair of their lenses. Unfortunately, I did have some complications when it came to shipping so that’s why this review is delayed and I wasn’t able to do vlogoween and a Halloween makeup tutorial like I wanted to. ;~;

Brand: Geo

Diameter: 15.00mm

So as stated before, I did have complications with the original lenses I wanted. I believe I was supposed to receive some bright green Halloween/cosplay lenses from Geo to go with my Beetlejuice costume and they were shipped out around September 18th but I notified Pinky Paradise on October 20th about how the lenses haven’t arrived to me and a day later they told me the the lenses probably got lost. They offered me to select a new pair, considering those lenses were sold out. Those lenses were sent out around October 21st and arrived to me November 7th. As the picture shows, the lenses were packaged in a standard bubble wrap lined envelope.
Package Contents:
image
The package contained a lens case, the circle lenses wrapped safely in foam wrap, and an extra goody (AKA velcro strips that help pull back your hair from your face).

The lenses are supposed to look like macarons (it’s my first time having this type of lens case so it’s nice to have something other than cute animal cases).

Final verdict:
Color: 8/10 - I would have liked if the color popped out a tiny bit more because of the interesting design it has (AKA a latte swirl). The inner parts of the design where it blends in with my (REALLY) dark brown eyes does appear slightly grayish and turn turns into a lighter brown than my own eyes. I’ve seen these lenses look beautiful on lighter (green and/or hazel) eyes. Color wasn’t a huge feature I was looking for because I expected as much for the color outcome and was more interested in the comfort and enlargement.
Enlargement: 10/10 - I love the Princess Mimi Bambi series due to their enlarging effects and I expected as much from the Mimi Cafe series. Because of how natural the lenses are, the enlargement doesn’t look so dynamic as the Bambi series, however, it is a pretty big noticeable difference considering the diameter is 15mm
Comfort: 10/10 - Once again, due to my experience with PM Bambi, I expected these lenses to be super comfortable and they were. However, I did not wear them longer than +20 minutes so I can’t speak for hourly comfortbility (however, if they’re anything like PM Bambi series or Geo lenses in general they would feel comfortable if being worn for long periods of time).
Shipping/Packaging: 7/10 - This is an overall score for the shipping not just the second time the lenses have been shipped (because in that case, I would’ve gave them 9/10). As stated before, the first package did get lost. Also, it makes me feel uncomfortable that I wasn’t given a tracking number for either packages sent (but from what I’ve learned afterwards, Pinky Paradise’s tracking codes don’t seem to work properly/doesn’t update at all, so….)
Customer Service: 10/10 - for the reasons stated previously in this post and below.
In general: 8/10 - I loved the lenses (although once again, they could’ve been a little more vibrant) and these will be my go-to lenses for everyday looks. There were a few complications but I do appreciate that Pinky Paradise helped resolve the issue by immediately replying, allowing me to chose a new pair and sending out the new pair very fast.
So you guys should really check out Pinky Paradise! They sell a wide variety of contact lenses (from normal circle lenses to special effects lenses such as sclera lenses and even torrid lenses) AND offers prescription on a majority of their contacts. On top of that, they do have a few cosmetics, circle lens care stuff, and accessories.
.And finally… worn photos/selfies!

[SPONSORED] DOLLDEARSHOP REVIEW: Flower Bun Crown

Hello, everybody! It’s been a while since my last review but I’m back to do a sponsored review of a flower bun crown from (recently renamed) store called DollDearShop, previously known as DollDearCloset, It is a handmade goods shop as well as a closet shop so you should check them out because they have a wide variety of flower crowns and accessories!
~ Review below the cut ~
Story time (this can be skipped): A while back when I first got into being a fashion blogger or reviewer or whatever you want to call me, I saw that Karen on tumblr was offering sponsorships so I figured, why the hell not, and gave her my email. She emailed me on July 24th and we were discussing business, however, I could not give her my address because I was moving. Weeks later (probably one or two), I was finally able to give her a shipping address but I never received a reply through email nor when I messaged her on tumblr as of August 7th so I thought the partnership was off and just left it at that. Fast forward to October 3rd, Karen emails me again and has asked me to review a flower bun crown instead of a full flower crown (money saving reasons, of course) in which I accepted.
Anyway, aside from all that, I want to reiterate that this is a sponsored review! However, it’s still unbiased due to this being my first review over a flower (bun) crown. On to the actual review~
Packaging
The crown came to me in a standard bubble wrap lined envelope, except it was in pink! Which is cute to me because I’ve never received things in a colored envelope. The flower crown was wrapped around chunks of tissue paper, possibly for more cushion, and gold streamers for decoration. I didn’t take a picture of it because it wasn’t that important but some of the flowers were misshapen due to shipping but they weren’t completely flat to the point that they weren’t fixable so that’s good
Package Contents
It came with a little thank you note.
This is the bun crown I chose to review  - Despite all of the crowns being extremely cute, the variety was limited (at that time) and I was hoping for a more darker selection of colors for fall (but hey! now they do have darker colored ones so go check that out). I chose this one because it was the darkest one that I liked and it would go with more of my clothing.
Stock Photo
My picture of the crown from above
As you can see, you can secure the crown by tying ribbon that’s attached to it; the ribbon is long enough for you to not struggle with tying it but not excessively long to the point where you’d have the tails of it dangling around your head.
Worn photos - And I’m sorry, I’m not actually wearing a bun, rather I’m wearing a messy… bow? My hair was wet and not complying so this was the best I can do.
I also apologize for the bright light in the second photo
Overall: Communication was very good when it came to exchanging information (ignoring the lack of communication for months). The shipping was good and the packaging was cute. The flower crown was not actually damaged, just one or two were slightly misshapen. When comparing stock photos and looking at the flower crown in real life, it looks exactly the same aside from how they appear different in size; the stock photo made the crown look bigger. The flowers did not visibly appear extremely cheap and were very realistic. The band or actual crown portion was not falling apart and was secured fairly well. The ribbon can easily be taken out from the crown but the chances of the ribbon untying itself and falling off the crown when it being worn is very slim. There’s not much else to say about it. It’s very lovely. >~< There’s a chance I might cave and actually get one of her dark colored flower crowns or a peach flower crown for a cosplay.
Anyway, that is my first review over DollDearShop and flower crowns in general so excuse my lack of knowledge on how to go about this review. You can get this crown here (I’m sure there’s limited stock/this is the only one because they’re all handmade). You should also check out the closet portion of her shop because she has some cute secondhand clothing!  You can also follow the owner if you have similar taste because her blog is lovely.

[SPONSORED] PLUS CUTIE REVIEW: Seifuku Top + "Fight Like a Girl" Shirt

Hello, everybody! Recently, I’ve been sponsored some cute clothes to review from Plus Cutie, which is an online plus size kawaii / Asian fashion store. Remember that this isn’t just a store for plus sized people, it can also be for those who aren’t considered plus size but can’t fit into standard Asian sizes. Also you can get these items, and more, at a discounted price if you spend more than $30 and use the code “ rinihime “.
Review below the cut~
On August 10th, I was contacted again by Meko, a Spreepicky / Plus Cutie employee about the sponsorship again. As seen on the picture above, I chose to review a seifuku (sailor / school uniform) top and a tshirt. Now I will warn you I try to be as thorough as possible with my reviews so if you don’t wanna see a long review, skip to the bottom for a basic run down and worn photos. On to the review~
Packaging and shipping:
image
I really hope I covered my address correctly this time because I always seem to fail at that
The day I was offered, I immediately ordered the items because I knew exactly what I wanted. My order was confirmed really fast and on August 12th, the package was shipped out. It didn’t arrive to the address I provided (for the time being I’m using my grandmother’s)until August 18th, which was the same day I picked it up. Now my excuse for not reviewing these items immediately was because I needed my phone and battery replaced before I can take pictures so I’m so sorry. ;~;
In short, shipping took only six days (I’ve always had fast shipping from PC). The packaging was very safe, the envelope your items come in is lined with bubble wrap on the inside and nothing could possibly be damaged during shipment.
Package contents:
image
The items come neatly folded in plastic bags - these are the new design of plastic bags. oh and it was folded a lot neater than pictured but I took the contents out before the review i am sorry. They are also so kind enough to give you a hand written note in a clear envelope.
Inside the envelope:
image
They give you their business card and a little gift! in the past I have received jewelry as my gift so I was so excited when I got their magical girl mascot keychain as a gift (it’s something I’ve been wanting for a while).
image
image
Oh and I now use it as a phone charm and now my cute phone case is even cuter
image
The seifuku top:
Stock photo
image
Detachable bow it comes with
image
Front of shirt without bow
image
Front of shirt with bow
image
Back of shirt
image
And I wanted to show this part of the collar because your collar may need to be ironed down (just as the rest of the shirt) due to the wrinkles it gets from shipment
image
This seifuku top is available in four sizes (L - 4XL) but only one color (baby pink). I received this shirt in the biggest size (4XL), despite how long the shirt is on me, because I wanted to make sure it was comfortable around the bust area AND arms.
4XL Measurements: Shoulder length:50 cm/19.69”; Bust:130 cm/51.18”; Waist: 114 cm/44.88”; Top length: 78 cm/30.71”
So my first impressions of this shirt were 1) this shirt is cute 2) at first glance, I know it’ll fit me 3) the pink is a lot lighter/pastel than in the stock photos. In fact, the pink is on the verge of being a little peach. When they said baby pink I thought they meant pastel pink. It was unexpected but it was actually a good thing. I love peachy looking pinks. *~* The shirt is made of stretchy material - aside from the arm cuffs and collar and it’s very comfortable. It does tend to hug your every curve so depending on how you are, you might like that. I’m in between when it comes to shirts that hug your skin but this one is actually very nice but I know some plus sized individuals don’t like this feature so if you mind the tightness, get a size up.
By the way, you can get the matching seifuku skirt here. If you buy the shirt + skirt, you can use the code rinihime for 10% off.
Also, there will most likely be more colors coming soon but for this to happen you must show support to Plus Cutie because they’re working really hard to make more seifukus in multiple colors happen! Right now they’re offering a pre-order $10 deposit (for each piece) for PLUS SIZED GALAXY SEIFUKUS. So check out the shirt and skirt and read the terms before pre-ordering. They need at least 20 people pre-ordering for these seifukus to go into production!
Now with that rambling aside, on to the next item!

Even more of a close up of the design (to show there might be some slight printing errors and lines and such because this is an original tshirt)

Some few random loose stitches at the very bottom of the shirt (which isn’t as a big of a problem to me because I really don’t care but others do)
image
This shirt comes in four sizes (M - 3XL) and two colors (pink tee or white tee - same design). The artwork is by the lovely fetsu-chan who allowed Spreepicky / Plus Cutie to use the art for this shirt. I got size 3XL but I’m unsure if it’s in women’s or men’s because their list of sizes wasn’t the same then as it is listed now. x.x But let’s say it’s women’s because it does seem like a slim fit. Also, I can’t really provide the measurements for this shirt because it isn’t stated on the listing, sorry!
The shirt fits perfectly - not too tight or too lose. It does fit longer than how I wear my shirts but it’s perfectly fine! I really love the design and I’ve been wanting this shirt since BEFORE it officially became a shirt (I literally said “THIS ART SHOULD BE ON A SHIRT” and it happened eventually).
A basic run down:
Shipping/Postage: 10/10 -  I always get my package on time when ordering from Spreepicky / Plus Cutie. Even when I wasn’t sponsored and was just an ordinary customer, my package took less than ten days to get to me!
Communication: 10/10 -  I didn’t have any questions this time but they’re always so nice and helpful so there’s never an issue with communication!
Product/quality: 10/10 -  It’s really hard to displease me so the simple lines in the tshirt printing and only two loose stitches don’t turn me off from these products and store. Both of the shirts are so soft and so cuddly and are comfortable enough to wear both to sleep if I wanted to.
Overall: 10/10 -  I am never not satisfied with Plus Cutie. Their service is amazing and they have the cutest products on their store! I hope to purchase the matching seifuku skirt whenever I save up for it and the new galaxy one.
Finally, some worn photos~

The black bubble skirt in the pictures are also from Plus Cutie! Remember you can get all these items at a discounted price, shall your order exceed $30, if you use the code rinihime for 10% off. Plus Cutie has free international shipping so you don’t have to worry about those extra fees.
Anyway, that is my review. Make sure you check out Plus Cutie and show them support.<3

SPONSORED REVIEW: Sailor Shirt + Polka Dot Skirt from Plus Cutie!

Hello everyone! I’m going to finally review some lovely items sponsored by Plus Cutie, a branch store from Spreepicky that’s dedicated to plus size kawaii/jfashion/kfashion/asian fashion that offers free international shipping! Remember: You don’t have to be an American plus size to shop here, if you find yourself to be an Asian plus size but not in American sizes, this store is also for you! As the title states, I will be reviewing this sailor/seifuku shirt and this bubbly polka dotted skirt! Remember you can get a 10% off discount on these items (shall your order exceed $30) if you use the discount code ” rinihime “!

So on June 12th I was contacted by Susan, the owner of Spreepicky, to be sponsored by them because they noticed my support for their store and how I loved posting their lovely items under my wishlist / cute finds tag on tumblr! Obviously, I couldn’t say no to their offer. But enough of my babbling. If I’m babbling a lot in this review, I apologize I’m trying to be as thorough as possible. On to the review~

Starting with the shipping/ packaging:

do u guise enjoy my princess cover
In the picture I have the package open because my mum and I wanted to peek at it

So I placed the order the day I was offered and the order was finally confirmed on the 16th. The order was finally shipped out on the 17th. I got the package on the 25th, therefore, shipping only took 8 days!
The actual packaging itself is very safe. The envelope-thing I don’t know the name of it is lined with bubble wrap on the inside and it was sealed perfectly.

The package contents:

So whenever you order from them your items are usually placed in their own Spreepicky bags - which are sealed as well. Also, they are always so nice to give out a little handwritten note (I realized that this is actually a lovely habit of theirs because they did that when I bought this seifuku from the main store). This time they put it on a cute kitty post card!

Inside the postcard envelope:

Inside the clear envelope of the postcard contains a cute little extra goody (something that’s featured in every purchase from what I’m assuming because I got one with a past purchase) and Spreepicky’s business card.

Close-up of the extra goody:

dat camera shine/glare doe
As you can see, it’s a lovely gold-colored necklace with a little heart pendant on it.
My mum and I will now be fighting over this (I can’t wear fake jewelry due to an allergy I have is her argument).

The sailor/seifuku shirt:
Stock photo~

Front~

Back~

This shirt is available in one size but in two colors!
These are the measurements:
Front 73cm/28.68 “- back 76cm/29.86”
Bust: 130cm/53.05 “
Hem: 130cm/53.05 “

The shirt is NOT stretchy (I’m not sure what the material is exactly) but it’s supposed to be loose-fit for those who are not the exact/bigger measurements. You don’t even have to be American plus size/Asian plus size to wear this, honestly. This can be used as an over-sized shirt. Imagine sleeping in this cute over-sized shirt~ This shirt is on the site for $39.99 and the discount code ” rinihime ” can be used for 10% off.
So the collar of the shirt is attached, however you still need to tie the ends of the collar ( a simple knot is cute enough). The shirt did have that new shirt smell?? it wasn’t anything displeasing and it wasn’t too strong but it was noticeable (in fact after a while I liked the smell oops).
So, unfortunately, the shirt doesn’t fit me. I’m a few centimeters bigger in the bust area and I’m really stupid for never paying attention to arm measurements if there’s any because I have giant arms.

"but rini how did you get it on" WITH THE STRENGTH OF GASTON

I know I probably shouldn’t have forced it on, however, I wanted to test how much the fabric can withstand being tugged and forced on. And guess what? It didn’t rip and I got it on. It is sorta constricting around the arms - causing me to have little arm movement - but it’s still not ripping when I force my arms to move. It was not until I tried taking off the shirt heard a few stitches tearing but when I actually looked nothing really ripped? It was still in wonderful condition. I would love this shirt to death and wear it all the time if it fit me nicely. good thing I’m losing a few pounds

The bubbly polka dotted skirt:
Stock photo~

The skirt~

Close up of the design on the top layer~

This skirt is available in one color (black - obviously) and three sizes: XL, 2XL, & 3XL. I got the biggest size in which the measurements are the following:
3L: Waist91.5-109.5cm/35.96-43.03” Length42cm/16.51”

The skirt has a thick (about 1 - 1 1/2 inch width) elastic band around - causing it to be extra stretchy. The bottom layer of the skirt is made out of a non-stretchy polyester fabric that is very opaque/not see through so you won’t have to worry about wearing shorts and the top layer is a transparent tulle-like fabric with a polka dotted pattern. This item is $27.99 on the site. This you can not use my code on if you buy it alone, however, if you pair it with another item you can use my code!
So, horray! I actually fit into this skirt ( a perfect fit ). It wasn’t tight or uncomfortable. I really love this skirt and I will be wearing it all the time considering it’s summer, the wonderful time for skirts~

Pictures of me wearing the clothes:

I put cupcakes over my face because I look derpy in every photo.

A basic run down:

Shipping/Postage: 10/10 - Everything was in perfect condition, the packaging was really safe and everything was sealed properly. The shipping was fast (it took eight days)

Communication: 10/10 - Spreepicky/PC always has good communication; they even kept me updated on a giveaway prize from them that I’m receiving soon.

Product/quality: 9.9/10 - The shirt size issue was mostly my fault so I probably shouldn’t take off a tenth of points for that however I do think maybe there should be more sizes in the shirt? or more shirts similar to this one but stretchy? just some suggestions~! c: However, the shirt’s quality is good and it wasn’t torn despite me forcing it on/off. The skirt was equally good in quality and it’s so pretty and fun to wear and twirl around in.

Overall: 10/10 - Plus Cutie really delivers. I am very pleased with their service and I hope to actually buy something eventually~

Finally! A non-cupcake photo! Remember kids: always clean your mother’s mirror before taking mirror selfies for a review *~the more you know~*

Once again, you can get the shirt here and the skirt here

If you purchase something from Plus Cutie, remember to use the discount code ” rinihime ” for 10% off orders over 30 USD!
