SPONSORED REVIEW: Sailor Shirt + Polka Dot Skirt from Plus Cutie!

Hello everyone! I’m going to finally review some lovely items sponsored by Plus Cutie, a branch store from Spreepicky that’s dedicated to plus size kawaii/jfashion/kfashion/asian fashion that offers free international shipping! Remember: You don’t have to be an American plus size to shop here, if you find yourself to be an Asian plus size but not in American sizes, this store is also for you! As the title states, I will be reviewing this sailor/seifuku shirt and this bubbly polka dotted skirt! Remember you can get a 10% off discount on these items (shall your order exceed $30) if you use the discount code ” rinihime “!

So on June 12th I was contacted by Susan, the owner of Spreepicky, to be sponsored by them because they noticed my support for their store and how I loved posting their lovely items under my wishlist / cute finds tag on tumblr! Obviously, I couldn’t say no to their offer. But enough of my babbling. If I’m babbling a lot in this review, I apologize I’m trying to be as thorough as possible. On to the review~

Starting with the shipping/ packaging:

do u guise enjoy my princess cover
In the picture I have the package open because my mum and I wanted to peek at it

So I placed the order the day I was offered and the order was finally confirmed on the 16th. The order was finally shipped out on the 17th. I got the package on the 25th, therefore, shipping only took 8 days!
The actual packaging itself is very safe. The envelope-thing I don’t know the name of it is lined with bubble wrap on the inside and it was sealed perfectly.

The package contents:

So whenever you order from them your items are usually placed in their own Spreepicky bags - which are sealed as well. Also, they are always so nice to give out a little handwritten note (I realized that this is actually a lovely habit of theirs because they did that when I bought this seifuku from the main store). This time they put it on a cute kitty post card!

Inside the postcard envelope:

Inside the clear envelope of the postcard contains a cute little extra goody (something that’s featured in every purchase from what I’m assuming because I got one with a past purchase) and Spreepicky’s business card.

Close-up of the extra goody:

dat camera shine/glare doe
As you can see, it’s a lovely gold-colored necklace with a little heart pendant on it.
My mum and I will now be fighting over this (I can’t wear fake jewelry due to an allergy I have is her argument).

The sailor/seifuku shirt:
Stock photo~

Front~

Back~

This shirt is available in one size but in two colors!
These are the measurements:
Front 73cm/28.68 “- back 76cm/29.86”
Bust: 130cm/53.05 “
Hem: 130cm/53.05 “

The shirt is NOT stretchy (I’m not sure what the material is exactly) but it’s supposed to be loose-fit for those who are not the exact/bigger measurements. You don’t even have to be American plus size/Asian plus size to wear this, honestly. This can be used as an over-sized shirt. Imagine sleeping in this cute over-sized shirt~ This shirt is on the site for $39.99 and the discount code ” rinihime ” can be used for 10% off.
So the collar of the shirt is attached, however you still need to tie the ends of the collar ( a simple knot is cute enough). The shirt did have that new shirt smell?? it wasn’t anything displeasing and it wasn’t too strong but it was noticeable (in fact after a while I liked the smell oops).
So, unfortunately, the shirt doesn’t fit me. I’m a few centimeters bigger in the bust area and I’m really stupid for never paying attention to arm measurements if there’s any because I have giant arms.

"but rini how did you get it on" WITH THE STRENGTH OF GASTON

I know I probably shouldn’t have forced it on, however, I wanted to test how much the fabric can withstand being tugged and forced on. And guess what? It didn’t rip and I got it on. It is sorta constricting around the arms - causing me to have little arm movement - but it’s still not ripping when I force my arms to move. It was not until I tried taking off the shirt heard a few stitches tearing but when I actually looked nothing really ripped? It was still in wonderful condition. I would love this shirt to death and wear it all the time if it fit me nicely. good thing I’m losing a few pounds

The bubbly polka dotted skirt:
Stock photo~

The skirt~

Close up of the design on the top layer~

This skirt is available in one color (black - obviously) and three sizes: XL, 2XL, & 3XL. I got the biggest size in which the measurements are the following:
3L: Waist91.5-109.5cm/35.96-43.03” Length42cm/16.51”

The skirt has a thick (about 1 - 1 1/2 inch width) elastic band around - causing it to be extra stretchy. The bottom layer of the skirt is made out of a non-stretchy polyester fabric that is very opaque/not see through so you won’t have to worry about wearing shorts and the top layer is a transparent tulle-like fabric with a polka dotted pattern. This item is $27.99 on the site. This you can not use my code on if you buy it alone, however, if you pair it with another item you can use my code!
So, horray! I actually fit into this skirt ( a perfect fit ). It wasn’t tight or uncomfortable. I really love this skirt and I will be wearing it all the time considering it’s summer, the wonderful time for skirts~

Pictures of me wearing the clothes:

I put cupcakes over my face because I look derpy in every photo.

A basic run down:

Shipping/Postage: 10/10 - Everything was in perfect condition, the packaging was really safe and everything was sealed properly. The shipping was fast (it took eight days)

Communication: 10/10 - Spreepicky/PC always has good communication; they even kept me updated on a giveaway prize from them that I’m receiving soon.

Product/quality: 9.9/10 - The shirt size issue was mostly my fault so I probably shouldn’t take off a tenth of points for that however I do think maybe there should be more sizes in the shirt? or more shirts similar to this one but stretchy? just some suggestions~! c: However, the shirt’s quality is good and it wasn’t torn despite me forcing it on/off. The skirt was equally good in quality and it’s so pretty and fun to wear and twirl around in.

Overall: 10/10 - Plus Cutie really delivers. I am very pleased with their service and I hope to actually buy something eventually~

Finally! A non-cupcake photo! Remember kids: always clean your mother’s mirror before taking mirror selfies for a review *~the more you know~*

Once again, you can get the shirt here and the skirt here

If you purchase something from Plus Cutie, remember to use the discount code ” rinihime ” for 10% off orders over 30 USD!

[SPONSORED] REVIEW: 4VISION RARA GRAY ON DARK EYES (KLENSPOP)

Yooo~ I’m finally reviewing these lovely lenses sponsored by the wonderful KLensPop - see my post about their site here.

Stock Photo

I chose these lenses because of how cute the design looks and how pretty the gray looks. Also, I chose these because I haven’t seen a review for them yet.

Info About These Lenses:

Brand: 4VISION

Name: RARA (in gray)

Diameter: 14.5mm

Base Curve: 8.6mm

Water Content: 38%

Life Span: 1 year

These lenses were sent out either on the 8th or 9th of June (from Korea) and I got them on the 16th of June in the afternoon (but being the lazy person I am and lost track of time, I waited six days to review them. I’m so sorry! ;~; ). So these lenses got here pretty quickly!

The packaging:

What was inside the packaging:

Inside the packaging was the lenses in a box, a lens case (the actual lens case + rubber-tipped tweezers/tongs inside of it), and a small box off solution? eye drops? When I read different reviews they all said something different. Unfortunately for me I don’t read Korean to confirm this. (oh right this was all wrapped together in MULTIPLE layers of bubble-wrap so yes it was pretty safe).

The items up close:

The lenses in their case

Finally some comparison/lighting photos!

One in, one out:

Both in, indoor (bathroom) lighting:

Outdoor lighting:

The final verdict~!

Color&Design: 10/10 - These lenses, like most lenses on KLensPop, are, are made for everyday use so they’re VERY natural but the gray on these lenses are so pretty, despite it being a natural looking gray. I thought the limbal ring would be weird, because it appears to be brown when looking at the lenses in their case, but the ring looks nice enough.

Enlargement: 10/10 - I never thought I’d be pleased with lenses any smaller than 15mm. I wasn’t even that fond of my Geo XCK105 that were 14.8mm. I don’t think i’d like these lenses if they were any bigger. Because of their design, limbal ring, and color, the enlargement is perfect. Any bigger would’ve probably been to freakishly.

Comfort: 10/10 - These lenses are really comfortable. I didn’t have no burning or any stingy feeling in my eyes for the 30 - 60 minutes I had them on (I didn’t have them on any longer because fans were pointing at my face and would’ve made the lenses dry out).

Overall: 10/10 - I love these lenses a lot. I never thought I’d actually like a pair of natural looking lenses on me. The shipping was wonderful the costumer service/communication was very good and I’d love to actually buy from this site one day!

Selfie time~

Solution-Lens.Com Monthly Giveaway!

image
So I’ve been a supporter of Solution-Lens for a while. I found them through their giveaway page a long time ago and participate in the giveaway every now or so. They’re very generous to be doing this giveaway because it happens every month. At the end of every month, they choose their winner to receive a free pair of lenses from their website (you’ll receive a free case, and if I re-call correctly, some goodies).
A while back I was asked to sponsor a pair of lenses from them and I chose Vassen (Super) Crystal Blue (re-upload of the review is right here). I was really pleased with their service, shipping was very fast, the packaging was very safe and the lenses were not damaged. Since then, I’ve been keeping their banner on my blogspot to show my support for this website. Here’s a picture of me in the lenses I received.
image
Not so long ago (I’ll say in about September of 2013) I purchased, or at least my friend purchased for me with my money, a pair of lenses from Solution-Lens (I unfortunately never got to review them but they were Vassen Crystal Pink so there wasn’t much difference). Once again, their service was amazing and the lenses arrived on time, undamaged. And here’s another picture with the lenses I received.
image
I have nothing but good things to say about them from my experience with them, really. Now about the store itself.
The website can be navigated easily. Everything is categorized in multiple ways so you can find what you’re looking for. They have a wide variety of lenses from Geo, Vassen, and Dueba (G&G). Even Halloween/cosplay lenses from Geo are offered. It helps that they have such a variety because my eyes are dark, dark brown and I have to be exxxxtraaa picky about what lenses I buy and wear so that the color could be vibrant. The prices of  the lenses on the lenses on their website are affordable and they offer free international shipping. Their safe packaging includes a lens case and a few gifts.
A few examples of the lenses they have (click on the pictures to view them on the site):

They also offer eye/lens care products:

And even various lens/travel cases:

Like seriously their store is the best. They even offer an value/gift set with 7 pairs of contacts (including cases and free express shipping)

Other offers include:
- Buy 2 pairs, get a pair free
- Buy 5 pairs, get 2 pairs free
- Buy 10 pairs, get 5 pairs free.
There are so many offers. Unfortunately, they only sell plano (-0 power) BUT they have an offer on getting prescription lenses (see the offer and rules here).  Plus they have a wholesale offer for those who want to sell lenses on their own.
I bet if you bothered reading this up to this point you’re tired of the blabbering and just wanna know more about the giveaway.

How do you join this wonderfully awesome giveaway?

-  Post this link on any social networking site. Different websites count as one entry, only one entry (link) per website. Very easy so far.
- Advertise! Write ten lines about their shop, their products and the giveaway! Still easy.
- Add three photos of their lenses (or the ones you’d like to get if you win). Wow. Such easy.
- Add their banner to your page (here’s a list of their banners). A banner won’t hurt your blog.
- Publish your giveaway link or Solution-Lens’ page link on a popular forums such as here and here.
- Comment on their giveaway page with your entries.
Woah. It’s that simple.
